I’ve always wanted to go to the
Ghostbar, one of Las Vegas’ most exclusive nightclubs. And finally, Jen and I had our chance. The Kid’s Quest at the
Palms was finally open, so we could spend some evening time together.

I didn’t even know if I could get in, due to my brown Sketchers sneakers (sneakers are a no-no at Las Vegas clubs), but I thought they were passable. When we got up to the door guy, he lookedat me from top to bottom, then bottom to top, then looked at my wife (who looked hot by the way) and decided to let us in. I am sure if it wasn’t for her, I would have never been let in. OK, moving on.
I paid the $25 each admission, and we were in the elevator on our way to the rooftop of the Palms. We got there, and it was really nice. Nice design, and I didn’t really feel out of place like I usually do. The average age group seemed to be in the mid to upper 30s, so I didn’t feel like I was at a college party. We went outside and there were lots of people. I leaned against one of the arms of a couch, and within 2 seconds, a bouncer has his flashlight shining in my face and said I had to stand up.
What?? I was just leaning. I guess this club has ‘standards’.
So, later, we were inside and feeling a bit loopy. I was sitting on one of the lounge chairs, and Jen started dancing for me. OK, it was sort of a lap-dance, but it was fun. This time, she was told by a bouncer that this was not allowed.
So, I don’t get it. Stick a bunch of 30-something year old people in a hot ‘Las Vegas’ nightclub, serve them alcohol, and the only thing they can do is stand up and be good little scouts?
Not really the Vegas I’ve heard of.So, in conclusion, it was a nice club aesthetically with a beautiful view of Las Vegas, but if you’re looking to be a little on the wild side (or if you ever want to lean on something), you’d be better off going someplace else.
